ATS International B.V. is thrilled to announce the release of ATS CM4D v21. This release of CM4D contains many new and exciting features, but we wanted to highlight a few of the biggest achievements this version has to offer: ATS CM4D Web
We are welcoming the newest addition to our family of CM4D modules – ATS CM4D Web. This little baby will make it a piece of cake for users within an organization to get their latest and greatest data analysis reports from CM4D.

A user won’t even need to know what CM4D is or how it works to get the reports they need, any time they need them. All they need to do is access a web page and either open an existing report or generate a new PDF from a list of report templates. Quick and easy reporting is here.

Stacked Alignments
The ability to calculate virtual Alignments has been a powerful component of CM4D for decades. Now a tremendous break-through has been made for predictive assemblies in CM4D – the ability to take the results of one Alignment and perform another Alignment using the previous result as the datum. By “stacking” a series of multiple Alignments, CM4D will predict the result of an assembly of multiple connected parts, letting you fix any build issues before the parts are even assembled.

This functionality was implemented in a pilot project at one automotive manufacturing plant where it was reported that without CM4D, they could have 4000-5000 cars built before an issue was even noticed. With CM4D’s powerful (and now enhanced) Alignment capabilities, expensive re-work can be prevented by fixing the problem before the parts even reach assembly.

Animated Alignments
In today’s world of animated GIFs (Giffs? Jiffs?) flooding the internet, why can’t we have them in our CM4D reports? We can now! In v21, you will be able to create CM4D reports that apply Alignment calculations to your 3D part image, animating it to show you the deviation of a part in comparison to its nominal values. You can even export those reports as an animated GIF to use for things like Web reports, attaching them to Event notification emails, or displaying on screens along an assembly line.

About ATS CM4D
ATS CM4D is a suite of applications designed to fill the gap between the virtual design world of Computer Aided Design and the physical world of manufacturing. It highlights differences between the geometric design specification and the “as built” data from a manufactured item. Tackling these issues allows manufacturers to attain the highest quality possible. More information is available at: www.ats-cm4d.com
