Recently my 5 year old daughter Emily had an accident and ended up having to have brain surgery to remove a blood clot and pressure on her brain. Following this my son who is 8 has decided he would like to raise money for the Children’s Hospital Charity which provide things that the NHS doesn’t provide.

My sister had a really bad accident and was very poorly, the Children’s Hospital Charity looked after her and helped her get better. The charity provided things that are not covered by NHS funding such as: activities, toys and equipment for me and my sister to use. (when she felt well enough) Themed play rooms and lots more. They are also raising money to create a helicopter pad so that helicopters can take children straight to the hospital.

I would like to raise some money so that hopefully it might help other children and their families as well.. This will be my first 37 mile bike ride and my dad says it’s got a few big hills!! Please sponsor me this is the route I will be riding: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/40111677 The ride I am doing has been arranged by Cycling Sheffield on the 25th of September.

Emily and Henry

Darren wrote me after the bicycle ride: “Henry did amazing, I am really proud of him. It was a very tough day out riding up some big hills. His sponsorship has reached £1435.50 for the Children’s hospital charity.

Well done, all of you!
