It wanted to achieve this by utilising an automated self-correction process that would produce high quality assembly welds with no defects.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"box2_25\">\n<div class=\"ico\">\n<div class=\"img\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"\/\/www.ats-global.com\/images\/purpose_icon.png\" alt=\"Purpose\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\" \/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"boxtable2\">\n<div class=\"box2_75\">\n<h3>Project Scope<\/h3>\n<p>The project was centered around the creation of a robust system to monitor events and generate alarms\/triggers for deviations in set processes\/parameters. The scope of the project included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Automated validation of the quality of welding and painting processes.<\/li>\n<li>Manufacturing traceability for each component and system.<\/li>\n<li>Creation of a centralized repository for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ats-global.com\/products\/ats-inspect\/\">attribute<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ats-global.com\/products\/ats-cm4d\/\">dimensional<\/a> data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"box2_25\">\n<div class=\"ico\">\n<div class=\"img\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"\/\/www.ats-global.com\/images\/quality.png\" alt=\"Project scope\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\" \/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"boxtable2 lightgrey reverse\">\n<div class=\"box2_75\">\n<h3>Solution Approach<\/h3>\n<p>All the data generated from welding and painting processes was captured, irrespective of the type or source. This data provided a complete picture of the equipment, product and process <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ats-global.com\/knowledge\/quality-management\/\">quality<\/a> which, through a comprehensive analysis, produced actionable reports. We achieved this by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collection and transfer of data of all types between the production line, applications and enterprise systems by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ats-global.com\/products\/ats-bus\/\">ATS Bus<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Creation of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ats-global.com\/knowledge\/quality-management\/\">lean<\/a> system using Statistical Process Control (SPC) performed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ats-global.com\/products\/ats-cm4d\/\">ATS CM4D<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Creation of defects against units when a parameter goes out of control by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ats-global.com\/products\/ats-inspect\/\">ATS Inspect<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The ATS applications used within this solution are all part of the Smart Manufacturing &amp; Industry 4.0 software suite, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ats-global.com\/products\/ats-ados\/\">ATS ADOS<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"box2_25\">\n<div class=\"ico\">\n<div class=\"img\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"\/\/www.ats-global.com\/images\/solution_approach_icon.png\" alt=\"Solution Approach\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\" \/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"boxtable2\">\n<div class=\"box2_75\">\n<h3>The Results<\/h3>\n<p>The car manufacturer is now activelly using the solution for its quality management processes.
