Rapidly flush out and contain defects with Inspect 5.0. This is a step up from Inspect 4.1, the main engine behind ASI DataMyte's Defect and Rework Tracking Solution. Using the solution ensures that prototype schedules become focused and shortened, significantly accelerating product launch cycles and time to market. And, the scrap and rework cost savings combined with the efficiency gains translate into substantial dollar returns, and, of course, a higher quality product.
The software leverages powerful visual inspection capabilities and dynamic data collection, costing, event service and real time reporting capabilities.
The list of enhancements is extensive. Here are a few:
Beefed Up Defect Isolation. Filters have been added to the 'Defects per Unit' metric, allowing the user to exclude certain types of defects, repairs, or responsible parties such as suppliers. Temporarily suspending certain contributing factors allows the user to isolate specific areas of interest. Zeroing in on variables is a powerful analytical tool in the quest for root causes.
Root Cause Tracking. You can now assign a root cause to a defect. Once the root cause has been determined, it can be entered and used to drive problem resolution, initiate CAPs or feed to other application areas that benefit from the data, such as supply chain management and complaint handling.
Custom Defect Lists for Each Inspector. Inspectors can now create and maintain their own 'most common' hits at their station, saving data entry time.
Checklist Popup Mode. Now the checklist can appear before or after the inspection, as well as only upon request.
Ability to enter defects from checklist. When the answer to a checklist is not as expected, inspectors can save time by entering defects right from the checklist, instead of closing it, entering the defect and then getting back to the checklist again.
Warning for duplicate defects. Avoid entering the same defect multiple times by notifying the inspector when the problem has already been recorded.
The new version includes additional filtering, search, charting capabilities and more.
