SIXNET EtherTRAK Ethernet Managed Switches are designed to survive in the toughest industrial environments. They perform outdoors, in marine and hazardous environments, and indoors on the factory floor - in places where other switches quickly fail. The Ethernet Managed Switches were successfully tested for the Stryker LAV (Light Armored Vehicle). The issue in this case was that military vehicles require extreme power protection against over voltage when a generator starts up, power dips when the motorized turret turns, and high voltage power spikes up to 250 Volts! The managed Ethernet solution provided reliability and accuracy and proved to be tough enough to endure extreme heat and freezing cold, which is conceivable for many applications.

EtherTRAK offers more than 1 million hours MTBF (Mean Time Before Failure), operates real-time, ensures reliability with a fast redundant ring, offers time stamped event & trend logging, rapidly exchanges data with SCADA applications and performs network management and automatic alarm testing.
