The InRAx product technology enables Allen-Bradley devices to communicate with other, non-Allen-Bradley communication protocols such as ASCII Ethernet, Ethernet / IP, Bosch, Honeywell, Modbus, Modbus Plus, HART Multi-drop, Profibus DP from Siemens and many others.
ProLinx offers a family of stand-alone, DIN-rail mounted protocol and network gateways, port expanders and Web servers. ProLinx products are available in a rugged plastic enclosure and ProLinx Plus extruded aluminium enclosures.
ProLinx products enable users to connect various field devices using different networks or protocols and share data between these devices "over the air." This is accomplished by selecting the appropriate protocol/network that provides a connection to the hardware device; the protocol is then converted into a common radio packet, "ProSoft's Wireless Protocol" (PWP) or to standard industry protocols such as EtherNet/IP or Modbus TCP/IP to other wireless gateways in the system.
RadioLinx provides a family of industrial serial and Ethernet wireless radios. This includes frequency hopping Ethernet, frequency hopping serial, frequency hopping Ethernet with serial Server and the Ethernet Industrial Hotspot.
RadioLinx wireless communication products use Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) for maximum protection against jamming or interference. The radio signal hops over a wide band of frequencies by transmitting short bursts then pseudo-randomly "hopping" to another frequency. Data is encrypted in the hardware using proven algorithms and 40 or 128-bit encryption keys. RadioLinx uses a proprietary RF protocol and 158 unique hopping patterns.
