Mixing and Dosing

In this application a standard SCADA application has been replaced by an ATS developed application using Visual Basic and Access. Operators can change recipes from a PC based operator interface to produce the exact volume of the end product with the correct component dosing.

Recipes are maintained by authorised personnel on a high level server and downloaded to the operators’ client PC. The operators have the ability to change recipes within authorised limits. The system is linked to business information systems for stock control, shipment, ordering etc. At the field level Profibus has been used to meet the high volume and speed requirements of this application.
