ATS Inspect Version 5.4 Released
ATS is proud to announce the release of ATS Inspect 5.4. Our researchers and developers have worked closely with existing customers while listening to the needs of industry as a whole. In this way we have been able to develop new functionality and improve usability, helping to keep ATS Inspect at the forefront of attribute and variable data collection.
Among the many new features, customers will benefit from:
Mandatory Inspection Sequence
System administrators now have the ability to create inspection steps. Inspection steps are assigned to each station in the desired sequence using Cockpit. Each step may include checklist questions, views, view categories and part categories and can have an image associated to it to highlight where the operator is working.
Reference documents
Documents can be added to give extra information to the operators carrying out inspections in Data Collect. These could be documents such as operator instructions, process sheets, drawings or visual aids. For example, on the Defect screen, the operator can have visual indications of acceptable/non-acceptable conditions on the selected part and on the Repair screen, the repair person could access the repair standard procedure for the selected defect. These documents are shown with an image and caption and they can be individually zoomed (in the same way that images can be zoomed when they are attached to defects or repairs).
New Repair Controls
Two new controls have been added to the Repair screen to speed up the repair process. The Last Repair Comments control displays a list of most recent comments associated to the selected Component/Concern/Repair combination. The Top Repair Types control displays the most common repairs for the selected component.
Repair Triggers
It is now possible to create Repair Triggers. A Repair Trigger is very similar to a Defect Trigger. Repair Triggers send notifications when individual repairs are entered into the Inspect system. Administrators can customize these triggers so that notifications will be sent when a specific type of repair is carried out on a specific component used in one product. Repair triggers can also be set up to send notifications when any repair is carried out on any component used in any product assembled in the plant.
Password Encryption
ATS Inspect now encrypts its passwords in the database. This provides you with a much higher level of security.

ATS International B.V. brengt de nieuwe versie uit van haar Product Quality Validation Software. Als inaugurele release van CM4D door ATS, zorgt deze versie v19 voor een beter prestatievermogen waardoor efficiënter inspectiedata wordt verzameld, belangrijke kwaliteits-rapporten worden gegenereerd, productieproblemen geanalyseerd en productieproblemen voorkomen kunnen worden.

ICT Automatisering (ICT) heeft vandaag aangekondigd dat er op 1 December 2012 een overeenkomst is bereikt haar activiteiten in Neustadt, Duitsland, met alle werknemers die voor het kantoor in Neustadt werken, over te dragen aan ATS GmbH in Kassel. Groei boven 20%
De groei voor zowel de traditionele automatiseringsmarkt van ATS als die van de MES markt is dit jaar voor beiden boven de 20% en valt samen met het 25 jarig bestaan van ATS. Met de banner ‘25 Years of Experience’ benadrukt het bedrijf haar rol als kennisbedrijf dat best-practices en technologische trends deelt met klanten over de hele wereld. In 1986 werd het bedrijf opgericht in Nederland, het is nog steeds privébezit. Een consistente strategie, aandacht voor ethiek en tevredenheid van haar klanten, gecombineerd met de zorg voor de ontwikkeling van de werknemers, resulteerden in een zeer laag personeel verloop binnen het bedrijf.

DSM Dyneema implementeert momenteel een Manufacturing Execution System (MES) bij hun globale productie sites. Dit systeem verbindt het productieproces met het beheersysteem van de leveringsketen, dat wordt gebruikt door DSM Dyneema om verbetering te kunnen aanbrengen in vraag-en-aanbod, efficiëntie en kwaliteit van productieprocessen. Er bestaat een complexe interfacing met de fysieke besturingslaag en de bedrijfsmanagement laag, waar de real-time productiewereld gekoppeld moet worden aan de IT systemen van DSM.

Eén van de belangrijkste nadelen van een On-Site Support opdracht is dat de (financiële) uitkomst van de opdracht niet van te voren exact vast staat en uw begroting in gevaar kan brengen. Budgetbewaking valt eenvoudig te combineren met uw normale taken, maar staat altijd onder druk. Verschillende bedrijven hebben dit erkend en ATS gevraagd om een oplossing.

ATS was actief betrokken bij deze conferentie die succesvol verlopen is. Mike James (Group Managing Director ATS) heeft in zijn rol als MESA board member een aantal lezingen verzorgd. Leuk detail is dat ATS door één van haar concurrenten werd aangekondigd als een van de belangrijkste bedrijven op het gebied van MES.
