ATS donates experimental QNX board support package for the IGEPv2 board

One of the ATS business activities is providing custom control solutions to industrial automation users. A significant amount of these solutions are build on top of the QNX real-time operating system, running on an x86 industrial platform. Besides developing control solutions, ATS software engineers also develop QNX board support packages for other hardware platforms.

ATS realized QNX based solutions for:

Dataloggers for industrial automation

Machine control on sorting systems

Software development for entry and time registration systems

Software applications for point-to-sale (POS) systems

Board support packages for Advantech® hardware

The latest development by ATS is an experimental board support package for the IGEPv2 manufactured by ISEE. This experimental BSP will be donated to the QNX community at Foundry27 www.foundry27.com.

The IGEPv2 is a small form-factor board (not much larger than a credit card) utilizing the OMAP 3530 processor. More information on the IGEPv2 can be found at: www.igep-platform.com

QNX is a real-time operating system which is used for mission-critical applications like process control applications. Automation systems in use by the automation industry, are often specifically designed to the customer needs and demands, which can be referred to as custom-built. ATS is able to give support and do software development for these custom-built as well as for commercial, off-the-shelf (COTS) systems.
